WH/ War Merit Cross 2Nd Class with Swords “53”. Unusual.

War Merit Cross (Kriegsverdienskreuz, KVK) 2nd class with its original ribbon with manufacturer’s code “53”, belonging to “Glaser & Sohne–Dresden” (Rare). Bronze version with swords. It is in the form of the Maltese cross with an embossed circular centerpiece, beveled swastika surrounded by a garland of oak leaves. The swords, indicate value, and emanate upwards between the arms of the cross. The center of the bottom of the piece is smooth, while the bottom of the arms of the cross are grained, with raised edges. The arms of the cross and the swords are upside down, giving the circular centerpiece a stunning look. Very good condition, not cleaned.
