Description

Wehrmacht Dfh.f. 1944 Headsets with Throat Microphone for Armored Vehicles (Wehrmacht Kopfhörer Dfh.f. von 1944 mit Kehlkopfmikrofon), both are of the “B” model. The headsets are of the “b” model, designed for use in armored vehicles. Both headsets are marked with white Waffenamt (WaA, Army Ordnance Office). The earpieces are molded from Bakelite with black rubber, constructed of metal alloy with protective rubber backing plates, connected by a metal headband covered in black leather. The headband is attached to the headsets by a long magnetic plate that makes them rotatable, allowing for proper adjustment. The two rotating headsets are clearly marked with the designation “Dfh.b” which indicates Doppelfernhörer (Double Receiver Telephone), model “b.” Each earphone has a brown fabric-covered electrical connection cable, terminating in a single plug. The original plug is in very good condition, with 98% of its original paint remaining. The microphones are attached and molded from brown and black bakelite, wrapped in black leather, and are not adjustable. Connected by a brown cable, they have a dual on/off control switch marked with the Waffenamt (WaA). This switch enables hands-free operation and is clearly embossed with the abbreviated designation “(Fu) b” in an oval, indicating Funk (radio), model “b”. All components are generally in excellent condition with minimal wear. Very difficult to overcome in this state and so marked.
