Rarely encountered Afrikakorps Officer Tropical Cloak/cape. B-40 Stamped, Manufacture Otto Pettkus

Description

Africakorps officer’s tropical cloak/cape that is very rarely found as it is not a common item of clothing. Made from an olive green waterproof canvas material though they were rarely worn in Africa except during the rainy winter months. The manufacturer “Otto Pettkus” is clearly marked as well as the sizes and the deposit from which it comes “B40”, alluding to “Berlin 1940”. This tropical officer’s cape was never issued and is therefore unworn. All period buttons present. Hard to find!. Condition 1.
