Description
It is a card dated in the French city of Cherbourg on May 22, 1942, from a soldier stationed in that city who used the services of a specific brothel and was then required to report to the doctor. It includes fields for the soldier to write the name of the prostitute in question and the room number used. It contains a note in German that says “You must disinfect yourself, even if you used a condom.”
On the back, it says: “VERMERK DER SANIERSTELLE” (NOTE FROM THE HEALTH POST), certifying medical treatment or disinfection. The card must be kept for three months. Anyone who cannot present it to the troop doctor in case of illness will not be considered healthy and will be punished.
