Waffen SS/ Ring of “Captain Janis Butkus” of the SS Latvian Legion in 1944

Description

Exceptional solid signet SS ring with the fired enamel emblem of the Latvian Legionary colors of dedicated to “Captain of the Latvian Waffen SS Janis Butkus in 1944.” The inside of the signet is engraved with “Waffen SS Hstuf Janis Butkus 1944.” The sides are also engraved with “SS FRW” and “LAT.LEG” referring to the “Frw Latvia Legion” (Lat.Leg. – Latvian Legion). The size of the signet and the ring band are quite large.

Note: This ring was sold by us a few years ago. Upon the death of the owner, the family has not sold it again
