Luftwaffe Tropical EM/NCO’S Overseas Cap with Heer Insignia. Very Hard to Find!!

Description
With the arrival of German troops in Tripoli in 1942, the Afrika Korps in particular faced problems with clothing for the different branches. Many members of the LW can be seen in period photographs wearing Heer uniforms but with LW insignia, or vice versa. The same thing happened with garrison caps and hats. This is an excellent example of this initial confusion regarding clothing in general. Many small manufacturers were confused at first.
It is a typical EM/NCO’S tropical Luftwaffe overseas cap (Tropen Fliegermütze), but with Heer and the interior fully lined in light weight red cotton, Heer cap lining (something seen very rarely).
It keeps its colors alive because it is noticeable that it was very little used (probably until it could be changed), and although illegible it has the manufacturer’s data, but it is a very coveted piece for collectors of Headgear, uniforms etc of the DAK and the tropical Luftwaffe. It has a good size, a 57. A rarity, an example of a textbook! Excellent untouched cap.
