Luftwaffe/ Hermann Göring Panzer División, Officer´s M38 Overseas Cap

M38 field cap (Schiffchen) for an officer of the 1st Fallschirm-Panzer-Division Hermann Göring “HG” of the Luftwaffe, black machine-embroidered national eagle, white Officer piping, made in very good quality wool, light blue lining interior with manufacturer’s, date from 1942 in an impressive size 59. Without holes or moths. Very rare to find.

Note.- Rare variant with the officer’s piping in white, it was not uncommon in the HG division, as noted in Angolia’s “Uniforms and Traditions of the Luftwaffe”. Obviously a very rare high level collector’s item.
