Luftwaffe/ Close Combat Fighting Knife “Luftamt 6”

Description

Close combat knife for ground troops of the Luftwaffe (Nahkampfmesser). Also called boot knives because of the clip on the sheath, the blade is made of steel, and is marked with an LW acceptance stamp, in this case the “Luftamt 6” (rarest than the “5”). Both the blade (uncleaned and unsharpened) and the wooden handle, also uncleaned, are in very good condition. The scabbard retains 95% of its original black paint, and retaining clip to hold the blade when sheathed. Very good example.
