Very rare Luftwaffe Officer’s Crusher style Visor Cap (Schirmmütze), also called ‘Knautschmütze’, Cap body is typical blue-grey tricot wool fabric with mohair cap band and aluminum mesh piping, textbook, . An excellent quality piece. This is a nice privately purchased Officer’s cap with leather visor being a so called ‘Crusher’ cap (Alter-Art). The cap has no visible size markings, the size is approximately 56cms. Hand-embroidered cap eagle and wreath badge, both attached by hand. No corrosion. The leather sweat-band is in very good condition. The lining is finest blue color. The cap shows normal traces of usage. Not damages. Not a single moth hole. Impossible to upgrade. The cap has a great shape and combat worn look. Stunning original crusher!
