Army Officer Dagger by WKC with Portepee

Description

Army officer’s dagger (Heer Offizierdolch) with white hilt decorated with the original portepee. The bright, double-cut steel blade has a nice patina, no pitting, and comes with the “WKC” logo and mark belonging to “Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co” of Solingen. The crossguard retains full silvering and has a fine patination. The details throughout the characteristic WKC eagle are exceptional throughout the head, breast and wing feathering. The scabbard is a fine example of WKC, has crisp, fine-grain panels, and two loops for hanging. Very good general condition.
