Description

M40 Officer’s Overseas Cap (SS Offizier Schiffchen) made of fieldgrey wool, with the silver cord indicating officer rank running along the entire top edge. The front features a machine-stitched eagle and skull of the second pattern (1936-1945) on a black rayon. The interior, lined in gray cotton/rayon twill, is clearly marked with the runes “SS” and “BKL, Ordensburg” and the size 57. It is in very good condition. Very rare and hard to find.

Note: Ordensburg refers to the combination of the NS-Ordensburgen (National Socialist Order Castles) and the SS leadership structures, an organizational subunit within the Schutzstaffel administrative structure that was closely linked to ideological and military instruction. BKL- Bekleidungslager (Clothing Depot or Uniform Depot).
