Made of a gold- and silver-plated non-ferrous metal known to the British as &#8220;tombak&#8221; and to the Germans as *Buntmetall*. The badge exhibits fine detail; the obverse features an oval oak-leaf wreath tied at the bottom with a ribbon and surmounted by a KM-style national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a central frontal depiction of a battleship cutting through the waves; the reverse retains a complete and functional pin and catch assembly. This is an early example that still shows the five bridge windows. The reverse bears the clear markings of the designer and manufacturer<strong> &#8220;Fec. Adolf Bock, Ausf. Schwerin Berlin&#8221;.<\/strong>\u00a0It is in excellent condition, still retaining a beautiful gold finish on the wreath.
