He was killed in action on May 22, 1941 &#8220;bei der \u00dcberfahrt nach Kreta&#8221;. He was one of the dead soldiers of the Geb.J\u00e4g.Rgt.100 who attacked Crete by boat. At the bottom is the legend: Rest in Peace! (ruhe in frieden). It measures 16 cm high x 12 wide. Very hard to find!!.
